Time to checkout what’s turning heads in the world of smart home crowd funded gear. I’ve backed numerous projects from Kickstarter and Indiegogo over the years and am always checking them out for the latest company to support.
Today’s finds:
Bonjour | Smart Alarm Clock from Kickstarter
Bonjour smashed their funding goal within a few days. I’m kinda digging the idea – an AI assistant based alarm clock that ties many of your home devices and web services together – all built into an alarm clock for your nightstand. I haven’t backed the campaign yet.. we’ll see if I make the plunge.
Glance | Smart Clock from Indiegogo
This is one I am supporting and am excited to see how well it integrates into my lifestyle. I’ve opted for the bluetooth version because the wifi version may not be ready for another year. Either way, this promises to be entertaining and useful. You can think of it as a smart watch on the wall with all kinds of notification through the use of hundreds of animated LEDs. It’ll give you visual notification from Google calendar, mail, text, Uber, and tons more. I’ll have another post once I receive mine with a full review and unboxing.
Muzo | Acoustic Environment through Anti-Vibration Indiegogo
I backed this one because it simply seems crazy and I wanted to see it for myself. So, the idea – if you have loud noises outside, it vibrates your windows and transmits sounds. This device, when attached to the window, is supposed to minimize the sound-causing vibrations and quiet the room. Well, ok. Prove it :)
Let’s just say I assume this will be trash, but I’ll post a review when it gets here!
